In response to the recent post about daisies, Indira Ganesan brought attention to the annual Vassar Daisy Chain, which she tells us continues to this day.


And Joanne Kyger in Bolinas, California, writes: “The Luther Burbank Shasta Daisy was the only plant growing next to my house on the mesa when I moved into it in 1971 and is still here–the DEER WON’T EAT THEM! One big plot of them is head high.”

She included this bit of information about Burbank and the Shasta. I had no idea.
