Linear time ceases in the garden. Yesterday, this day, last year, this moment, this breath, tomorrow … all blend seamlessly. We are entirely of the cycle: in summer we sense the season’s retreat, in winter we hear it’s return.

Artist, filmmaker and writer J. Gluckstern’s breathtaking photographs reflect this overlay of time and space. He very generously gave me permission to post some of his spectacular images from throughout the season. These are just a few from his collection, each titled by J. I had a hard time choosing and tried to stick with flora, since this is, after all, a garden blog. I may have overdone it, though it’s quite impossible to get enough.

Please scroll from November back in time to April and enjoy the journey.
